Happy spring! Where to find us lately.

Happy spring! We know it’s spring on the North Fork when fields and yards are filled with glorious dandelions and spring flowers (some may call them weeds!). We’re enjoying the new growth and we’re getting on board with the No Mow movement for a portion of our yard to help the pollinators. Join us! Even just a section of undisturbed lawn can help. Onto the bread and coffee, which is really what you’re here for :)

We hope that you will come out this Saturday April 29 to celebrate the last winter farmers market at East End Food Market.  We’ll be there from 9am-1pm selling our classic sourdough items, roasted coffee beans, and frozen sourdough items.

On the same day we will also restock Sang Lee Farms and Lombardi’s Love Lane Market.

Starting in the month of May we will move to monthly pop-ups at our wholesale partners on the first Saturday of every month May through August.  On Saturday May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st and August 5th please find us at our partners Sang Lee Farms, Lombardi’s Love Lane Market and Southold General.

Here’s the quick summary of our spring/summer schedule:

  • Fri April 28: Sang Lee Farms (today!) / Sat April 29: East End Food Market, Sang Lee Farms (again, yay!) and Lombardi’s Love Lane Market

  • Saturday May 6: Sang Lee Farms, Lombardi’s Love Lane Market, Southold General

How to reheat frozen or stale sourdough bread

To reheat a frozen sourdough loaf: Heat oven to 350 degrees F (177 Celsius). Put whole frozen loaf directly onto the rack, no pan, for 40 minutes. Remove, slice and enjoy.

To reheat a stale sourdough loaf: Heat oven to 300 degrees F (149 Celsius). Run stale loaf under water to wet the outside completely. Wrap it tightly in aluminum foil. Bake directly on the rack, no pan beneath it, for 30 mins. Remove foil, bake for another 10 min. Remove, slice and enjoy.

Have a lovely weekend!

Warmly,

Ana, Brett and family
